Turkey Hunts fall along the lower pine-oak eastern slopes of the Cascades in the beautiful
spring season. Excellent habitat and nominal hunting pressure have created consistently ideal
hunting conditions. Spotting the fire-engine-red head and floppy beard of a wary Tom sneaking
through the brush is the well-earned payoff for diligent turkey hunters.

And the size of these dandy birds is enough to keep you on your toes for the motionless
"eternity" it seems to take to get your shot at one. With good numbers and fair chase
conditions, the tenacious and disciplined hunter finds success.

A six week season from mid-April through the end of May, means there are plenty of excellent
days from which to choose. While day trips are available, success ratios increase substantially
with 3 or 5 day excursions.
